Who We Are
Erin Dreyfous [IES, IALD] led Tillotson Design Associates as a creative design partner and co-owner prior to founding Studio DXD with Jon Dreyfous [AIA, LEED AP]. She earned an MFA in Architectural Lighting from Parsons: The New School for Design and an undergraduate degree in Interior Design from Kendall College of Art and Design. Erin was selected by lighting design colleagues as one of the "40 Under 40 -- Professional Leaders to Watch’. She has guest-lectured at Columbia University and Parsons and served on numerous design competition juries. Erin’s completed projects include The Broad Museum, Los Angeles (IES and NYC Lumen award winner); The Perelman Performing Arts Center (IALD, IES and LIT award winner), The Shed (IES, NYC Lumen and LIT award winner) and the Tiffany & Co. flagship store in NYC.
Jon Dreyfous was a partner at CDR Studio Architects. He earned a Masters of Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design as well as dual undergraduate degrees from Brown University — in History and Architectural History. Jon practiced at architectural firms in Boston, San Francisco, Stuttgart and Tokyo before joining CDR Studio in 1996. As partner, he led the Audi of America network facilities program involving more than 125 completed projects. He also oversaw design for the Hudson River Park Trust Pier 62 Carousel Building and the FDNY Ghostbusters and Marine Company 01 projects, each recognized with New York City AIA awards. He has been an adjunct professor at the Rhode Island School of Design in the Department of Architecture and served on juries at Harvard GSD, University of Florida and Pratt. Jon co-authored Provisional: Emerging Modes of Practice in the USA published by Princeton Architectural Press in 2009.
DXD is a multi-disciplinary studio offering architectural lighting design and architectural services while exploring interdisciplinary opportunities in the realm of interior design, installation art and product development.
